Britania Island

 Experience Britania Islands: Surigao Del Sur's Secret Paradise

                     

Britania Islands is located in the southern part of the Philippines, province of Surigao del Sur.

                     BRITANIA ISLANDS 

        The hidden paradise of Surigao del Sur. The place where uninhabited islands levitate just between clear salt waters and sea strands. Britania is famous for its group of islands with an assemblage of i inslets. With their sand, texture similar to that of dusts and color almost as white as snow, and their ocean as clear as the horizon above, it is surely a place worth visiting.

What can you expect from a tour around the Britania Group of Islands?

                          Hagonoy Island

      Hagonoy Island is pretty similar to Naked Island – the only difference is that it has a few coconut trees bundled on one side so it is not fully ‘naked’. This is usually the first stop when you do island hopping at Britania.

 

          Aside from the beach bumming, you can also try fresh seafoods at Hiyor-Hiyuran island.

How to Get to Britania Group of Islands:

            Getting to the area is a five-hour ride from Davao City or a three-hour ride from Butuan City. Visitors can take either a private vehicle or public transportation.

To get to the area, simply get off at the Salvacion Junction in San Agustin. The port going to Britania is still around 2.8 kilometers away and can be reached via tricycle or habal-habal. This ride should take around 10 to 15 minutes.

During my 21st Birthday last March 24, 2021 my parents decided to held my birthday at Gerome's Beach Resort.

    The beach is a white sand, has a  blue  crystal clear water and a man-made structures.

            My Travel Experience in  Surigao del Sur

        Surigao del Sur is one of the provinces in the Philippines which is famous for its mysterious yet amazing tourist spots. It belongs to the CARAGA Region in Mindanao being Tandag City as its capital city.

    Amazing sand, Baculin Hinatuan Surigao del sur

Amazing sand in Baculin also known as the “Little Maldives”has a cyrstal clear water and a fine sand. It is also instagramable place to visit.

                    Spacebar, Cagwait Surigao del sur

           Cagwait Beach, which the name was derived from the local term “mura ug wait”, is a beautiful beach in the province.  It is a long stretch of C-shaped fine sand beach. The sand is the beach is not so white but it is very powdery and very soothing to the feet. The beach is made more decorative by the array of green trees and coconut trees. It is being dubbed as the “Little Boracay of CARAGA” by many travelers and once linked the place to Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, USA by the famous pilot Charles Lindberg.

           Britania Islands or Britania Group of Islands comprises of 24 beautiful islands which is one of the most famous tourists spots in Surigao del Sur for island hopping activities.             Laswitan Falls and Lagoon is probably the most fascinating falls and lagoon in the Philippines. This is one of the extraordinary tourist spots in Surigao del Sur. This is not the usual falls where the waters come from the forest or mountains, it is coming from the OCEAN! It is a splash of waves coming from the Pacific Ocean blocked by the 20-foot black limestone barrier that creates a waterfall effect. Every splash is surely amazing.
